2024-2025 Season

NFL Survivor Pool

Quick Overview

Pick one NFL team to win straight up each week. If they win, you advance. If they lose or tie, you're eliminated. You can't use the same team twice during the regular season. Last survivor wins the pot!

The Basic Rules

The rules are simple: Select one NFL team to win each week STRAIGHT UP - NO SPREADS. If your team wins, you advance to the next week. If your team loses or ties, you're eliminated (thanks for the $60 contribution - there's always next year!).

The Catch: You cannot use the same team twice during the regular season. Once you pick a team and they win, that team is off-limits for the rest of the regular season.

Remember: A TIE IS CONSIDERED A LOSS. You cannot pick a team on their bye week.

Pick Deadlines

Deadline: All picks must be submitted by 1:00 PM EST / 10:00 AM PST every Sunday

NO DEFAULT PICKS - If you don't submit a pick by the deadline, you forfeit that week

We monitor for technical issues and errors. Exceptions may be made at the commissioner's discretion if a pick doesn't go through due to system errors. Please send any error screenshots to info@footballeliminator.com

Pro Tip: You can preset picks for all weeks through Week 18! We strongly encourage you to plan ahead strategically and adjust as needed before each deadline.

Weekly Picks & Results

Weekly picks and results are published every Sunday at 10:00 AM PST, right when your weekly pick is due. Check the dashboard to see all picks and track who's still alive in the pool.

Prize Pool & Payouts

Total Prize Pool = (Number of Entries × $60) - Small Commissioner Fee

Commissioner fee covers platform costs and improvements for future seasons

Prize Distribution:

Sole Survivor: Takes the entire pot
Multiple Eliminated Same Week: Split pot evenly between those eliminated that week
Multiple Complete Regular Season: 20% split evenly, 80% goes to playoff pool

Survivors can agree to split the pot at any time during the season if all remaining players consent.

Playoff Rules

For survivors who complete all 18 weeks of the regular season:

• All playoff teams become available again (even if used in regular season)
• Each team can still only be used ONCE during playoffs + Super Bowl
• You must have a team available for the Super Bowl to win
• No available team = automatic loss

Strategic Note: Plan carefully! You need to have at least one team available for the Super Bowl if the pool goes that far. Running out of teams means elimination.

Elimination Timing: If you pick correctly but have no team available for the following week, you're not eliminated until that following week. This matters for prize distribution if others are eliminated before you officially run out of teams.

Season Postponed

Pool continues when season resumes or follows cancellation rules

Individual Game Issues

If your selected game is postponed/cancelled, you must choose another team from your available roster. No available teams = forfeit. Multiple postponements may receive exceptions.

Stay informed about NFL scheduling changes. It's your responsibility to ensure you're picking from games that will be played as scheduled.
